Had three days to write, plan, shoot and edit this spoof trailer of the Social Network movie starring Scotty’s Brewhouse and a few Indianapolis “pseudo-celebs”. My first project that was played on the BIG screen at a theater. Enjoy and remember: I always welcome constructive criticism!

This is me watching the short film that won the Audience Choice Award at Heartland Film Festival. Powerful, emotional, inspiring. Now I have to do something manly. http://j.mp/b3ONgx

My first and last purchase from Thrifty
While my trip in my rental Hyundai went great, I was very much annoyed by the fact that Thrifty “got me” with fine print. With a low budget for my trip, I was looking for the best deal possible and was happy to find one online with Thrifty. The descriptor next to the price indicated that the miles were UNLIMITED. Having rented from other companies in the past, I assumed that...

A neat look into my Motherland…. created by Bill Crandall. billcrandall: The Waiting Room is the working title for my long-term photo series from Belarus. I’ve been shooting there since 2000, first driven by simple curiosity about this place supposedly stuck in a Soviet time-warp. As I spent more time and tried to really understand the situation on a more nuanced level, I realized that an...

My (American?) dream.
Here’s a little insight into my soul. I’ve been contemplating a lot about the direction I want to take my life… My childhood dream has been to become an Oscar-winning filmmaker. Bigger part of my twenties though, I’ve been trying to live the “real life” - school, work, bills, and all that “exciting” junk that we all learn to occupy our minds with....

Companies need to become content providers
According to The Razorfish Digital Brand Experience Report, (shared with me by @JohnnieFirari) “those who follow a brand on Twitter seem to be engaged beyond deals or customer service: 23% cite “interesting or entertaining” content as their main reason. Perhaps this points to the emerging trend of brands needing to become content providers to better connect with consumers.” I became...

Improve iPhone service?
iPhone is great, but I wish Apple and ATT would hurry up and make things work smoother. For example: I want to be able to use Skype on 3G - so that I can talk to my family overseas. I also want Tumblr app to support video. Is it too much to ask? Am I an impatient and ungrateful person?

Hi, I'm Tim Hashko.
One day (some time before 2016) I will earn an Oscar. In the meantime, I help businesses and individuals tell a better story about their brand, through the use of video. In November 2010, I grew a mo’ to help raise funds for a good cause. In December 2010, I made this video to help the same cause.
